How it works

Every DECISIM session follows the same cycle, whatever the simulation. It is designed to be familiar, so that participants who have played one simulation recognise the next.

The cycle

  1. Select a simulation for a learning purpose.
  2. Prepare the session: timing, teams and framing.
  3. Decide with others, against rivals and shared conditions.
  4. Observe the consequences, when the simulation's design shows them.
  5. Explain the result together in the debrief.
  6. Apply the insight to the next class, or the next decision at work.

For facilitators

Set up
Choose the scenario, timing and teams. Add your organization's name and a short description of your context.
Rehearse
Run a dry run with bots in every seat, and see what participants and the debrief will show.
Run
Open the session and project the join code. During play you can pause, make announcements and admit latecomers; a co-facilitator can take over if you need them to.
Debrief
Step through the outcome, the moments that mattered and the decisions behind them, and reveal what was hidden during play.

For participants

Join
Scan the QR code or enter the join code, and choose a display name. No account, no app.
Orient
See your role and your objective, which stay within reach throughout the session.
Decide
Submit a decision and see whether it was accepted, whether you can still change it, and why if it was not.
See the consequences
Watch what your choices set in motion — straight away, at the end of a round, or in the debrief, as the simulation is designed.

Decisions connected to consequences

Every change is shown with what changed, by how much, compared with what — and, where the simulation's design allows, because of what.

Example — illustrative figures

  1. Decision
    Price ₱220 → ₱180
  2. Market response
    Demand +11 % vs round 2
  3. Consequence
    Market share 23.4 % +2.1 pts vs round 2
Example: a price cut in round 3 raises demand, and market share rises 2.1 points against round 2.
